私は、米国大統領選挙に非常に興味があるので、今回もこのことを書いていこうと思います。トランプ氏は、自分の支持層に加えて、今、貧困層にも生活が困っているなら、ぜひ投票してほしい、って言って貧困層からの支持も拡大しているようです。
しかしながら、コロナで経済が停滞した時に、たくさんの給付金を米国政府は発行しました。それは、ドル札が大量に刷られる原因になったのです。だから、今、政府は、この大量に刷られたドル札を回収するために、高金利を維持しなくては、いけないのです。そうしなければ、ドルは、世界的価値をなくして、これは、恐慌やいろんな悪いシナリオが想像されるのです。
そういう、米国の経済状況にも関わらず、トランプ氏は、貧困層にいろんなアプローチをしています。そういうことができる状態では、ないことは世界中で理解されています。こういう根拠のないことを言うトランプ氏は、政治公約を本当に守れるか？って疑問に思います。財源はないので、この公約を履行しようとすれば、増税でしょう。しかしながら、これは、経済の低迷を意味します。
このように非常に経済が大きな節目にあります。だからこそ、今回の大統領選挙は、世界中が注目するのです。どうやって、貧困層を助けるのか、具体的な説明もないまま、支持を集めるのは、これは、政治家として私は、無責任なような気がします。
具体的にどうやって財政を建て直すのか、話すべきで、候補者の批判をするのが、選挙の本質ではありません。
日本の選挙では、政策をそれぞれに出して、どの政策が良いのか、選挙民は検討します。
けれども、米国の選挙の方法は、候補者の個人的資質を批判し合います。何故だか、この方法は、理屈に合っていないような感じがします。要するに、政策を吟味する場ではなく、個人的人気投票で、決まる、このシステムは、日本人の私は、違和感があるのです。
だから、政策を全面に出して、議論し、本当に米国にとって良い、政策が何であるか、議論検討する場に、なるようにしてほしいものです。矛盾があれば、その政策は、実行できないものです。本当の選挙とは、どう言うものか、再考して、ほしいと私は、考えています。

In Japanese elections, each candidate proposes a different policy and voters consider which policy is better.
However, the way elections are run in the United States pits candidates against each other's personal qualities. For some reason, this method doesn't seem to make sense. In short, as a Japanese person, I feel uncomfortable with this system, where decisions are made based on personal popularity votes rather than a place where policies are carefully examined.
Therefore, I would like it to become a place where policies can be brought out in the open, discussed, and what policies are truly good for the United States. If there is a contradiction, the policy cannot be implemented. I think we should reconsider what we mean by real elections.
