「一心不乱(イッシンフラン)」。心が、乱れない様子をこの言葉は、表現しています。「一心」とは、一つの心と書きます。「不乱」は、乱れないことを指します。四字熟語は、古い言葉で、漢文のような読み方をします。
つまり、言葉の意味が、とても歴史があります。今なお、語られる言葉は、とても価値があると私は、感じています。いつも私は、心の中に、この言葉が、あります。
それは、いつの時にも、決して乱れないことは、とても難しいからです。このような心の境地になるのは、とても難しいです。
この「揺らぎのない心」を育て、物事を決して軽く扱う事なく、じっくりと物事に集中して対応する、「心」がそこには、存在します。
「心」のありさまは、現代に於いては、個人の自由が、尊重されて、色んな「心」の在り方があります。それは、個人の自由でもあり、この現代に於いて、それは、否定されるものでは、ありません。
けれども、人生の心構えは、大きな物事をやり遂げたり、社会的に認められるようになる為には、物事を軽く見て、ひとつの物事を簡単に対処したりすることは、良いことではありません。
良い人生の重ね方とは、どんなことであっても、「一心不乱」に物事に対処することが、大切だと思うからです。
つまり、どんな小さな物事であっても、ひたすら真摯に対応することです。良い小さな物事の積み重ねは、良い人生を築く基礎であり、それは、しっかりとした土台になります。
そのような時間を築き上げることは、後の人生に於いて、決して、「後悔」の無い人生になるでしょう。人生は、大きな決断をすることがあります。その決断が、正しいとは、限りません。
ですが、「一心不乱」に考え、出した決断は、「後悔」を生むことは、無く、そこには、自分で、決断した物事だから、「納得する」ことができます。
色んな人生がありますが、時間だけは、元には、戻りません。これは、現代に於いて、もっとも、平等な事柄です。
「後悔」ではなく、「納得」できる人生を送る為には、「一心不乱」に生きることは、重要な事柄だと感じています。色んな人がいます。けれども、真面目に生きることは、大切です。何故なら、そこには、信頼が、生まれ、良い人々に囲まれていると、思うからです。
そこには、お金では、買えない、素晴らしい環境が整っています。人は、いつも、孤独です。孤独に生まれてきて、孤独に死んでいきます。だから、人生は、自分そのものです。自分に責任を持つことは、自分の限界を知ることでもあります。
だからこそ、「一心不乱」。
現代に於いて、お金をたくさん持っていることが、その人物が、良い人生を送っているように、見えることがあります。しかし、それは、間違いであり、人生を快適に過ごすことはできますが、それは、「幸せ」を得るための条件ではありません。
お金で、解決できることは、たくさんあります。だから、人生は、快適です。けれども「人の心」は、お金では、買えないことを知っておきましょう。人生に於いて、ある程度のお金は、必要です。
ですが、ひとりの人間として生き、そして、ひとりの人間として、死んでいく人生には、過剰なお金は、必要ではありません。
そこには、別れを惜しんでくれる「人々の心」が、もっとも、必要な事柄です。
心の価値観は、人によっても大きく異なることがあります。ですから、色んな論議があり、これは、哲学にも通じます。ですから、この文章が絶対では、ありません。
違う価値観もあるからです。これを否定は、しません。
なぜなら、そこには、多様性があるからです。
だからこそ、人は、悩み、苦しみます。そうして、心の拠り所を探します。人生に答えは、ありません。自問自答しながら、歩むのが、人生そのものだと思うからです。
