①兵士を使う方法。
1.高地を占領した軍に向かうのはよくない。
2.丘を後ろにした軍も逆らっては、いけない。
3.嘘の行動をして、逃げる軍を追っては、いけない。
4.優秀な軍を攻撃しては、いけない。
5.犠牲になる兵士は獲ってはいけない。
6.帰る軍を留まらせては、いけない。
7.軍は、完全包囲してはいけない。(逃げ道を残しておく)
8.困窮した軍に近づいては、いけない。
9.遠い敵地に長く居ては、いけない。
10.道も選ばないといけない。
11.軍も攻撃しない時もあります。
12.敵の中核を攻めないこともあります。
13.土地も争そわない時もあります。
14.国家の統治者の命令を受けない時もあります。
1-9の利益を知る者は、兵士を使うことができる。このことが分からない者は、利益を得ることが、できない。
10-14の利益を得るのは、1-9の原則を知った者です。
②叡智のある者が立てた計画は、必ず利益と損害を考える。利益と一緒に考えると、そこには、任務が確信できる。損害を計算する。だから、損害をあらかじめ、知れば、利益を得る確信があるから、人々は、働きます。だから、兵士を使う方法は、敵が来ないのを期待するのではなく、敵が来れないような、軍の装備です。敵が攻撃しないのを期待するのではなく、攻撃できないような軍の装備をすることです。
③将軍は、5つの危険があります。
1.必死になることは、殺される。
2.必ず生きたいのは、捕虜にされる。
3.短気は、敵の計画にはまってしまう。
4.潔癖症は、敵の計画にはまってしまう。
5.人々を愛するのは、良いことだが、惑わす。
この5つが、将軍の間違いです。兵士を使う者の災いです。軍が、ひっくり返り、将軍が、殺されるのは、この5つの危険です。これを良く覚えておくこと。
