スパコンとは、スーパーコンピューターの略称です。
この「富岳」が、4部門を全て達成して、世界一のスパコンに認定されました。

現在の野党が政権を持っていた時、国会の予算委員会で、「1位では無くて、2位ではいけないんですか？」と、関係者に迫りました。

その理化学研究所は、こんな風潮になる事は、いけない、と心から感じて、そのスパコン開発の大切さ、を一般人の方向けに、講演会をしておられました。
私も興味があり、これを聴きにいきました。
今の「京」を更にグレードを上げないと、世界には、通用しない、と力説されていました。
そんな逆風の中、このスパコンは、4部門全部受賞。(省エネ20倍以上、CPU(3倍)、AIビックデータのアプリに対応したCPU、業界標準ソフトも動くそうです。スマホ、20万台分)これは、政府の指針に合わされて作っています。

このように、恵まれない環境でも、頑張って、成果を出す心構えには、頭が下がります。
講演会での、理化学研究所の方は、とても真剣に国民にスパコンの開発の大切さを力説しておられました。
とても、苦境の中から生まれた「富岳」でした。
